A Body 833 4 spd

Hello,

I'm brand new to this forum.  I really need some help identifying whether or not something will work.  See I've been restoring a 1968 dodge charger for the past 5 years.  It has now come time to get the powertrain together.  I have my 440 complete and ready to go.  However My step father has offered to give me an a833 four speed out of an A-body car.  Will this fit in my B-body charger?  I know that the driveshaft will have to be changed.

I'm pretty sure the A-body ones were a little shorter but the difference was in the tailstock.  Which means, it should fit with the custom driveshaft length but I don't know about the shifter mounting location.  For the price I would take it and work from there.
