I know it's a dumb question but it started as a "debate" between my wife and I.  She Who Must Be Obeyed insists that it's a car chase film and I should like it.  I've seen it (which she conveniently forgets) and I say it's pure girl bonding time (that's bond ing not age) and my wife says it's no different than male bonding.
I'll give that they are being chased in a car and that as a classic Thunderbird it's a cool car but the film just turns me off.

driving off the edge of the grand canyon isn't considered a "car chase", a "car chase" would involve high speed pursuit, sliding around corners, making buses crash into parked cars, jumping ambulances, etc

Thelma and Louise was a lame-ass attempt to swap women out for men in a quasi "male-bonding" film. Women do bond but the process typically involves a lot of yakking and shopping rather than road trips and double suicides.

dpm68

Male-bonding-ish, yes, but girly-style. Brad Pitt stole the show. But barring that, it's a chick flick.

Ghoste

Geena Davis in her panties likely did more for me than Brad Pitt because I didn't even remember he was in that until you said so.

Chick flick. No doubt.

She Who Must Be Obeyed....

You must be a Horace Rumpole/Leo McKern fan. I do like and use that phrase... :2thumbs:

Brad Pitt was in it??  Hmm... maybe that was part of why I didn't like it so much!  ;)   (only joking, no offense!)   :icon_smile_big:

That's a chick flick, totally!  I can't remember much of it anymore, but even though I saw it when I was young and hadn't heard of the term "chick flick" I was left with a peculiar feeling that left me uncomfortable.  Kind of like your mom kissing you on the cheek in public or something.   :icon_smile_dead:

As for arguing with your wife, Cris Rock put in best... "Once men get married they have to accept that they will never win an argument again.  You see, we men have this crazy notion that what we say has to make sense!!!"   :smilielol:

Same here, I don't even remember Brad in that flick. Geena looked great, though. :drool5:

Oh & chick flick. The cars & panties are a bonus. ;)

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Oh, and I liked Bull's review!
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Not much on Brad Pitt, really, but I am a fan of Geena Davis in her panties, perhaps I should see it again.
