Hey gang..
Any tips on removing the fan from my heater blower motor? I have the hex-head set screw out. Now, the fan will not pull off the motor shaft... Grrrr

Try heating the fan hub gently with a propane torch and melt some paraffin onto the motor shaft.  Let it cool and then reheat the hub quickly with the torch without heating the fan shaft if possible.  This should expand the metal collar and allow it to be pulled off the shaft.  This assumes that the shaft has not been hammered on and, therefore, expanded.  Might be OK to gently strike the shaft very very gently with a brass hammer to break the rust bond loose.
