73 balljoints

I thinking of changing the ball joints in my 73. They seem in spec . 85,000 miles greased alot.

The fenders are off would be easier.  Do the screw in joints come out without damaging the threads?  Any tricks?

The only "trick" is finding that damn special socket and putting out the coin for it! Other than that, it really is as simple as it seems. Unscrew the old one, screw the new one in at the right torque, all done.
