Dart/slant six assembly questions

A buddy of mine recently bought, very cheap, a dissasembled 65 dart with a 68 225 six.The car's in very nice shape, save some extra airco holes and the engine is like new, totally redone, but most parts like manifold, pulleys etc are off.
He'd like to tackle the project himself to see how far he gets which is admirable but he can't do it without even a decent book around, right now he doesn't even know where everything goes like the alternator. Can't blame him, he's used to working on 4 banger vw's.
Can anyone recommend a good book or website even, maybe with pics or drawings of assembled engines so he has an idea where to start?
Since the engine isn't from that car he'll need two at least so ideally a 65 dart shopmanual or the likes and one for the later engine.
I'm not a huge fan of the haynes manuals but if there isn't anything better around, it'll have to do.

I would get the factory service manual , Year One has reprints , or get the disc & print the same page over & over if you want to

Hmm maybe the disc would be best, I'll look into that. Thanks Chryco !
