this video shows the approach and how far out of shape the plane was WAY before it got to the runway

They call it a wing strike but it looked to me like a double wing strike in the video. Looks like it hit the left wing tip and then the right wing hit even harder as they pulled back up.

Some of those are pretty friggin' high on the pucker scale. :o
In that 2nd link, did you watch the 'bumpy landing' one?  Wow.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

man, that's some scary stuff. i've flown a lot of times  but since 911 i've lost my thrill for flying
I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

Shucks, some of my calm wind landings look worse than those.  :smilielol:
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Been there done that more than a few times in the mighty orion.  That's SOP when landing at Lajes. :2thumbs:
That last one was a little hairy for sure though.

I agree with John.  I landed at the College Park MD airfield one time in a Cessna 150 and it was the best landing I ever had.  One problem though.... it was a mistake and the wind dropped me about 50 feet in one second and I slammed the power and gained just enough to get the stall warning and bingo touched down softer than I ever had. Good thing I still wasn't at 100 feet. ;D
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

i've only had 1 scary one, landing at Kansas City in the dark in a thunderstorm, i had a window seat and as we went over the end of runway lights i could seegrass outside the window then a second later i saw grass outside the window but that grass was on the opposite side of the runway then suddenly we were over the runway again and landed with a thump.......... happened faster than i can type it, sorta wish there was a video of it but then again sort don't................

Back N Black

I had a couple of bad experiences, all in a 8 month period .First one flying from Canada across the pond to Kosovo, about 6 hrs in the trip we experienced engine trouble and had to turn around and limp back to Canada. Finally made it across and a flight from Italy to Macedonia, hard landing hit an air pocket and slammed hard on the runway and almost over shot the runway. While i was over there i was in a bus accident going through the mountains in Bulgaria. So now i hate flying and riding on Greyhound buses.
