Was there not a post about these while back? I am trying to find the dimensions of these to make a set. Anyone have a link to the post?
Next time....

If no one comes up with the link, I have mine off the car right now and can take some pictures and give the dimensions you request...... Let me know.

Here are some pictures of one of the plates (they are all the same). The metal is .091" thick as I measure it but I'm guessing that there is about .001" worth of paint and possibly rust scale. The plates are 5" on the long side and 3 1/2" on the shorter side. the two corners are cut at 45 degree @ 15/16" back. The hole is a 5/8" hole centered at 2 1/2" and 1 5/16" in from the edge with the 45* chamfer. the bolt is 3/16" x 1 1/8 with a round head and is also centered @ 2.5" and 2 13/16" from the chamfered edge. The measurements in the pictures appear to differ from the dimensions I listed because I was not able to hold the tape tight while taking pictures and they are at a slight angle so the flash wouldn't wash the picture out.

That's weird!  Were they threaded to the floor with those bolts?
Mine were spot welded and no threaded piece - 1973 car.

No, they weren't threaded to the floor. they are spot welded. Now that I look, they are only on the Driver's side, but they all have the hole to accept a bolt. I should have stated my car has the six way seat and these go through the extra bracing below the floor although they didn't have nuts on them, so I'm not really sure what their purpose was. I'm guessing they are to help hold the six way bracing on that end during the assembly process until the seats are installed.

:yesnod:

That makes sense now!!
Perhaps there SHOULD have been a nut on that threaded piece... but maybe someone forgot to put it on in the factory... ???

Sounds very plausible to me. You can see the factory undercoating on the threads so there was never a nut installed.

Mine are just welded to the floor. Roughly  3x5.

Yes, I should amend my post to say "welded" not spot welded. They have a short weld along each side.
