Hello guys, this is my second topic, so I don't really know if this is the best place for this, anyhow as I've mentioned on my first post I am from Brazil and I'm deeply interested on a 68 Charger and also want to attend a really good Mopar car show, so I am thinking Mopar Nats on Columbus or Carlisle All Chrysler Nationals, since they are a month apart from each other I can't really attend both, so I have to pick one, where is the best show, and wich one do I have a better chance on finding a good 68? I've changed my mind abou some things and I am planning on attending the High Performance Motorsports Course at UNOH next year, and really need a Charger to tweak out as a school project, so its better to find it earlier than on a rush, what do you guys think of it?
Greetings from Brazil

Welcome to the site, Armudster...

My  :Twocents: would be to attend the Chryslers at Carlisle show.  Their Car Corral is probably a little bigger/nicer than the 'Nats, but you could probably find a decent '68 at either.  Both shows are a blast!

If you want some traveling advice from South America, ask Nacho-RT74 - he attended last year's show at Carlisle by way of Venezuela.

I haven't been to either but hear Carlisle is head & shoulders above the rest.

IMO I'd try to hit whichever show had the most neighboring shows around the same time.  More bang for your buck if you will.  :shruggy:

Thank you very much guys, so maybe I'll get to meet some of you guys in there, anyone have a good recommendation on places to stay that are not very expensive? You guys made me believe that my long time dream car will be there waiting for me. I have a Dodge Dart Brazilian model 74 (look like your 69 Dart but with a different grille and taillight) with a 318 and a 4 speed that I am almost selling, now I plan on buying a 68 Charger project that I will slowly turn into a Hemi clone but with some hidden surprises, as I said earlier  will attend a High Performance Motorsports Associates Degree course at UNOH and plan to do most of the work myself, it will sure be a dream come true, sorry for extending myself too much, but you guys got me all revved up and excited about Carlisle.
greetings

My travel was kinda different that anybody would made... meet with Jer in California and made a road trip on a motorhome up to Carlisle, then got back. 25 days in USA. We planed to meet with several board members on the way but just made to meet 3 at the end, BESIDE ALL THE GREAT PPL AT THE SHOW ( gas prices didn't help on those days, so had to made a straight up trip ), so I never need to take car of any hotel at Carlisle. But advice if you plan on stay on an Hotel, RUN AND GET THE RESERVATION NOW!!!!

If your coming to buy a car, then you might want to get your research done now on which company you can use to transport the car to a port and then which company you'll use to ship it overseas. May want to inquire into the customs practices for bringing a car into your country as well.

Basically, buying/finding the car might be the easiest part of the equation.  :2thumbs:
