Hello,
Can it be  bad to use ATF type DEXRON II or III in the 60-70´s  Mopar power steering Boxes?
One friend of mine says that it is what he has read in his 73´Chally owner´s manual.

I have Dexron III on mine

Thanks

You'll hear differing opinions on this but the earliest Mopar boxes used Type A transmission fluid which has been replaced by Dexron. Many of the internal seals in the later boxes that use P/S fluid are identical to the early boxes that use ATF so any arguments that the P/S seals aren't compatible with ATF is pure nonsense.

Having said that, modern P/S fluid is formulated specially for P/S so it would be wiser to use it when possible.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Thanks,
I always used ATF in every car that i had without any trouble.
My friend has used one wich is sold in the Chrysler dealers used for the jeep cherokees.

Regards.
