AWESOME!!!! My 68 came from Boone about 3-4 years ago. The guy also had a 69 in the garage next to it and a 69 parts car outside his garage. I was told the tracks are north of his house, you can see it from the train, and the race track is south of it. He is on the west side of town.... I want to talk to him about my car ad maybe find out where he got it from! It was sold new from witrock motors in Carroll Iowa. Its a light green 68 charger with a dark green int. 318, auto on the floor. road wheels, tinted glass, am 8 track, clock, AC, power brakes, power str, wood grain wheel, rear windo defog, there were R/T emblems on it, and a charger emblem on the dash above the glove box, ANYONE who can help PLEASE!!!!!! still in the orig paint, could have been hit on the drivers side sometime in its life due to the filler in the fender and dents in the drivers door. Again if anyone can help me I have the build sheet, fender tag, and vin. It was sold 3-4 years ago to a guy named Lonnie and a year later to a guy named Jim in the albert lee MN area!  :-\

She also has cruise and a console that has the are rest on it, wheel opening mlds, light pkg, someone put a 4 bbl on it! I know the r/t emblems on it were on there when he had it. I am not sure if it ran when he had it...

here is what my friend sue in boone could remember

    Hi Stuart:

We're not positive, but we believe the Charger he's asking about may have belonged to Jim Mikesell. Jim would have purchased it from Loren Moeller. See if either of these names rings a bell with him and maybe we can put him in touch with Jim. Loren has since passed away.

 again this is per sue

They've got the wrong Jim Mikesell. There are/were several in Boone. The Jim Mikesell that owned the Charger is indeed alive and well. In fact I talk to him weekly. I believe all he has is cell phone as I don't see a listing for this Jim in the phone book. I'll get his number and send it to you. Tell the owner to hold his horses for a day or two!

Loren's wife is Mabel and she is an elderly lady now, so I don't know how much she'll be able to add to the Charger story. Actually his daughter would probably know more about the car. I will ask her if she minds talking to the guy before I divulge her number.
