CAPA Certified mean anything?

I'm thinking of buying some aftermarket replacement fenders for my Wrangler and some, at extra cost, say they're CAPA certified. According to the CAPA website that's important but is it really? Any experience from the body men in the room?

 Yea it does, it means it is the Cheapest part that insurances company will pay for. I only used them when I have to and not often. If it is a old Jeep and you just want it on the road there OK. Some of the holes may need to be hog out and lines may or may not be just right. I have had luck with about 60%.

See if you can find a Keystone Automotive, and check if there is a Platinum fender for your Jeep. All the ones I have used fit like OEM and cost about 2/3 of OEM. Well I sell them at 2/3's of OEM in most cases.

I'm just trying to make the Wrangler presentable, not show ready. My daughter slid on the ice and crunched the driver's fender and the passenger side has rust issues. I see a Keystone truck running around this area a lot. Someone must sell them. Thanks.

 Just call information or let your finguers do the walking. Keystone will sell to the public. If they do not have a Platinum part buy from a cheaper vender. There CRAPA parts fite no better than the cheaper guys. By the way, I did not miss spell CRAPA, that what we call them.

Fortunately, it's hard to screw up a Wrangler fender as there are no complicated contours. I ordered an "import" fender for $99. The CAPA part was $139. Hopefully it will be useable. Thanks again for the insight into CAPA certified.
