Swapping a Magnum Engine

I´ve decided to ask differently.

Say... If I were to put a 5.2L magnum EFI engine into my 72 charger with an auto 727, which torque converter should I use?

thanks there mateys. I really want to be able to actually drive this damn car.

PS: I must say that the engine is already there and working, but it vibrates excessively even in neutral with the car not moving. After a lot of contributions from this site I´m positive its the torque converter, . The engine came from a 1997 jeep grand cherokee.

I think you might have problems out of your Harmonic Balancer...you probably have a torque converter set up for a forge crank..And that motor sounds like it is a cast crank!

I really need help... and its a triumph that I`m asking for it, i´m usually too stubborn.

the Magnum engines have a specific balance requirement...      They are not the same as the older LA series engines...    I'm sure the balancer is fine - however the T/C probably is not balanced for the engine itself...    giving you the vibration.

The 5.2L Magnum requires no external balance, the flexplate on the the engine would determine what converter to use. In any case, the converter shouldn't have any external balance weights.

I`ve been trying to look for one but haven´t had any luck... Have any of you guys seen something like an aftermarket torque converter for this mod?

There is a B&M flexplate to allow you to use a standard torque converter. Mancini and Summit have it.
