Battery cables?

I've got a '68 Charger with a 383.

So far the only battery cables I've seen are the "correct" ones on Ebay that are like $100 or so. Is this my only option? I don't think I have the supplies to "make" my own from scratch. What did you guys do?

This is the guy I got mine from and usually you can get them in the $50.00 range as he has quite a few listings.

Bill's stuff is outstanding but "terrible one" won't find a set for less than $100.00 from him.

The e-bay guys stuff is close although the ground cable is for 70 & up as it has the extra wire.

Agreed, I'm definitely not able to afford pieces like that and there is really no need for me; I've just got a street beater. Very nice though!

I had some battery cables made from welding cable by Palace Auto Supply (my local parts house).  Set me back about 60 bucks.  Had another set made for the pickup for 80 bucks.  They are extreemely reliable and will probably outlast the vehicles. 
     Quality is excellent and he reused the factory connectors, and SOLDERED in new fuseable links too.

my local parts store had a cable that was close to the original for 8 bucks heavy duty too.
