torque converter question

I bought a 727B used trans to bolt up to my 440 and the torque converter is missing a tooth... I have a same year 727B trans with a seemingly good torque converter but the trans is from a truck... will I be able to use the torque converter from the truck trans?  I don't see any markings on either converters...

Many thanks!

You can buy a rebuilt converter pretty cheap, that is what would do. Now that being said, it would depend on the 440 engine. Does the 440 have a cast or steel crank? Cast uses a externally balanced crank and the converter uses weights for proper engine balance. The weights are not there with a forged crank 440. The converters will exchange if they look identical.  :Twocents: Kyle
