I just finished installing my new BeCool alum. rad. and the last thing to do install the cooler.

Did you use the factory metal trans. lines and couple them into the cooler, or run all new lines?

I know the fittings are completely different, so I'm guessing I'd have to get a length of the tubing and then the correct fitting to run it from the cooler and then fittings that match the ones already on the tube.

Although, to be honest, I'm tempted to take it to a shop and have them do the lines and rebuild the trans. while they have it.

I may have enough brains for the grunt work, but I'll leave the transmission repair to someone who knows what the h*ll they're doing. :D

Hi Johnny, that thing's not together yet....get a move on man !   :nana: Ya, like i'm one to talk

Just use the original lines and splice in some high pressure rubber hose. I allways double clamp the hose at both ends for added security.   ;)

Hey Johnny..

The clamped rubber hoses will work, but you wont pass tech. inspection at your local race track. If you go through the trouble of redoing them, why not make al new lines with good fittings.. With a good tube bending tool, it will take about 15 minutes to make completely new lines, of course you need a flearing tool aswell and new fittings... Looks way better than a clamped rubber hose and you wont have oil leaks..

Thanks for the tips, guys.

I went with the rubber hose and clamp idea since I'm way too impatient to wait. :D

Very straight forward proceedure.

Mounted the cooler dead center on the rad and used 1/2 brass fittings (that have 3/8 nipples for the hoses) out of it.

Then mated the old fittings from the rad to some couplers connecting to 3/8 nipples again.

Will post some pix once the lines are all clamped and everything is buttoned up tomorrow.
