best main and rod bearings on the cheap ?

what you read, for 383 forged crank

I have read there are bi metal, trimetal, several brands...

looking forward in case I have to buy bearings for the 383 crank I'm searching for and IS NOT STANDART, since I already have Clevite77 in standart size I was to use on my 400 crank, I think P series, but dunno remember if they are the best anyway... I have seen H and V series

IMO,
I Like Clevitte tri-metal brgs, just personal preference.

For a stock 383 Crank "P" brgs are fine, and probably "best" for stock Rods.

Try the wrecking yard. If you want good bearings, be ready to spend a few dollars.

Might be difficult to find though.

well, actually maybe AFFORDABLE will be on the more right therm, affordable against same stuff where just the brand is what raises the price.

Sometimes ( actually REALLY FREQUENTLY ) YOU PAY MORE JUST FOR A BRAND than the article itself that could be even the same than well known brands

for example:

Mopar--->Valley Forge ( or standard LOL )

or Mopar agains.... anything LOL
