I know the car has to look stock but what can you do to the car? put better gears in it? Can you put fiberglass fenders and parts on the car? what can you do to the car?

Why? You don't think it could possibly go that fast without cheating just because it's a Vette?

FYI: the 427 has 650 hp and is running tires that are barely over 6" wide. If he could use drag slicks and traction devices it would be an entirely different story. All of the cars in that series stretch the limits of the rules but they all follow them (until proven otherwise). It's a fiberglass car so if you think barely breaking the 11 second mark is suspicious then you should be really investigating the 67 GTX, 69 GTX, and 70 Challenger all in the low 11s. I bet they all passed tech too... :D

Here are a few pics of them running at the 2004 Mopar Nats. The 340 Duster in the very low 12's was quite impressive to me.

I was looking at the Vette this past summer in the pits at National Trail.  There was one spot on the right front that he got real nervous when I was down there looking at it and he more or less asked me to leave.  I have no idea what he may have thought I saw but I didn't notice.  It's probably as legal as any of the other players.

Thats how alot of restos should be in my opinion. And I wanna do the vey same with my current or next MOPAR/Charger
Look pure factory, but can haul more than ASS.

I'd love rollin up to a smart ass civic kid thinking he can go quick cause he has umteen thousands in his bucket with turbos at every corner and you completely dust his ass on 6 inch wide tires!!!

TAIL TUCK HISTORY LESSON!!!

I agree completely.  But, make no mistake, those guys in the FAST series have umpteen thousnads under the hood too.  The machining and blueprinting alone are likely more than most of us put in the entire engine.
I saw an article on Dudek's Hemi Challneger once and it was impressive.  Super Stock attention to detail in the block and heads.  Stoked to 484 cubes, extrude honed everything, lightened pistons, custom cam.  It's an impressive piece.
I have a pic someplace of his fender tag.  It says something about being equipped with 426 cubic inches of whoop ass.
