Hey guys, I'm pretty new to all this.
I was wondering who you'd all suggest to go to to get new wiring for my dash?
I removed the cluster recently before hauling it to the bodyshop and many of the wires
were burnt and I'd planned on replacing it all anyhow.
Any suggestions where I need to be looking?
It's a 69 R/T, also.

Rolling_Thunder

only source for the factory replacement harnesses is Year One Inc.

I'm thinking of getting myself a Ron Francis wiring kit.

Not a bone stock repro kit at all but I have heard some good things about his products from other members here...

Greetings from Belgium, the beer country

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

If you want one that you can just plug in and go and not put any connectors on, Yearone is the way to go.

Bill Evans is good for the smaller harnesses

Thanks for the info. I just got my 73' Engine Harness from Mr.Evans and let me tell you his stuff is top notch.
Great price with fast shipping. I would recommend his wires to anyone.
Thanks again for spreading the word :2thumbs: on him.

If you decide to go the Year One way I just received the Holiday Sale Discount Code HS08A. It says 15% discount . The volume discount applies also.

Thanks man,
Year 1 & Paddock are back ordered on the engine harness and they both wanted about $300.  :o
The one form Evans was $120 shipped and way better, American hand made quality. I believe the ones that Year 1 & Paddock have are Chinese? :scratchchin: :shruggy:
   Thanks for the code man.

All M+H wiring is made in southern California.
M+H Coils were made in New Jersey ( definitly new england area )  But, I believe even they have been brought in house by now

No  :scratchchin: OR :shruggy: I just looked at my new YearOne wiring I got a few months ago. It shows Proudly manufactured in the U.S.A. by: M&H Electric Fabricators, Inc. - www.wiringharness.com.  It comes exactly like oem with the right colors and connections, just plug in and go. How can Evans be better.....especially for less? You can go with painless wiring but how can it be painless when you have to cut and put on the connectors yourself? I would rather get one ready to go. It cost more but you won't have to worry when your miles from home and you then your :brickwall: fu@ked.

Yeah,
The Evan's engine harness has all the connectors and all the colors and everything. I matched my burnt one to the new one from Evan's, perfect match.
I just need a bulk head for a 73' Charger. Mine is to crisp to use and has burned up connectors (prongs). :brickwall: :RantExplode:

I never knew about them when I ordered. If they sell 3rd. gen wiring, don't they have the bulk head?

I called JEGS and their tech people told me that eh painless kit is a 12 curcuit sytem and is made to directly replace the factory harness with all the proper connectors.  for  the entire car.

Also what are your views on this kit,   Im not spending the big bucks on a yearone kit.

RETRO SERIES Mopar Wiring Kit

The Mopar Powered RETRO SERIES harness is designed with 40+ years experience in the do-it-yourself wiring business. It is very similar in design to what Ron started with in 1974 but with a few twists and turns to bring it up to today's capabilities! It is a 12 circuit model that is nearly completely pre-wired. A 'drop in' harness for that cost conscious enthusiast who does not intend to upgrade any components other than the running gear and steering column. Uses Hi-Temp cross-link wire, and has a serial number for fast troubleshooting help.

Item Number: WR-95

I called and they do not make the bulk head. I do not know why.  :icon_smile_tongue:

I agree, the M&H harness' is top notch. I can see how Evans might be equal to it but I cannot see how it can be better. The M&H was fantastic and was plug & play simple.  :2thumbs:

Jegs put me under the impression that is was plug and play and that no additional connectiors were needed???

Painless classic mopar muscle kit ?/? :shruggy:

So does anyone know where I can but just some of the diffrent plastic eends to cover the connections? I really don't want to have to buy a new wiring harness just to fix a couple of burnt up plastic pieces. also some of the brass ends that are used on small light bulbs? I mean M&H and bill and Rose evans have to be getting this stuff from somewhere don't they?
