Anyone have any pics of installing a single disc CD player in the dash of a 69?  I don't have an original radio for the car and I'm not going to cut up a mint original faceplate to mount it in.  I'm kinda stuck on how to install it in the original location.

You could go out and get a new radio delete plate and cut out the hole for the radio, thats what I'll be doing to my Charger when I start working on it.

I saw those on ebay for like $90.  I can't justify that much $$ for something that will get cut up.

mine just needed to be cut to fit one a faceplate...    the radio fit perfectly in the stock opening on the dash frame itself.

I threw mine in the glovebox...its an older Sony unit with a wired remote.  ran the remote into the center console.  Honestly I rarely use it though.  I just like to hear the engine personally

I was playing around with the slide case that fits over the radio.  It fits perfectly width wise with the bezel removed, just the height was the problem.  I tried to make a spacer for the bottom but it didn't work the way I wanted it too.  I've been trying to find a used stock bezel that's already cut or broken that I can make work but haven't found any yet.

Paddock has a special plate that mounts in the stock dash that a new radio fits in.

Thanks for the tip on Paddock :2thumbs:.  I just checked it out.  Little pricey but exactly what I need.
