Hello everyone.  I need some help.  I am helping a friend paint and fix up a 1974 Dodge Charger.  The one part that I am stumped on is the front and rear chrome bumpers.  Is there anywhere that I can purchase new chromed bumpers or must I find used and then re-chrome myself?  Are these bumpers available OEM anymore?  The rechrome process takes 8 weeks according to my supplier and my friend does not want to wait that long to get it on the road. I have searched everywhere on the internet and cannot find anywhere to purchase chrome bumpers.  Any help would be much appreciated.

I'll post a picture of the freshly painted Charger tomorrow.  We are getting it out of the booth tomorrow!

You cant buy new originals...  I am not really sure if anywhere will sell you bumpers already rechromed or not but its possible.  If all else fails and you need some cores let me know, I might have a set.  Shipping wouldnt be cheap though.

Tom,

Check out these guys,  http://www.musclecarbumpers.com/.  No, not news ones but they can repair your old ones or use it as a core.  I talked to them sometime ago about mine and they seem to be pretty straight up.
