I thought it was for a 68 also...on the brightside the caps from BE&A will work....makes life a lot easier + I like the 69 bee better than the 68!  :2thumbs:

Not much difference in appearance other than the sidemarkers. Don't think I ever said that it was a '68, but then again...I'm gettin' senile in my old age. ;D

i got it in my head that it was a 68 . I've stared at the pics you sent me for hours and never realized that it was a 69 .  the closer we get to completing the deal, the more i can feel her. you know i get emotionally attached to my cars. I'm already getting attached to this car. Rene

Heres the twister in all this as I understand it.


The "Red Ring" Dog Dish caps repoped by BEA caps were incorrect for 68 Chargers. The jpeg posted earlier in the thread shows the correct 9in caps for Chargers and Coronets (R/T,500,440 and Deluxe)


However they ARE correct for Coronet SuperBees and Dart GTS's in 68.


In 69 - they were offered for the Charger and are correct for that year on that model through I believe about 71 or 72. I'm not a Gen III guy so I'm not 100% sure for 71 and beyond.
