Self Etching Wash Primer I'd say, Others might say Epoxy Primer. LEON.

You need to use an etching primer on bare metal before priming. SEM makes a great product and you can even get it in a spray can. Check your local paint supply store.

when you use a self etch primer, can bondo stick to it? or do you have to sand it off and apply bondo to the bad spot?

clean the metal, repair the damage with filler if needed and then spray the primer on top of that. :2thumbs:
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?
