more toward to 3rd gens, but anybody can talk about!!!

where do you have ( if you do ) burnt spots on fuse box... I'm melting one fuse location gradualy, the one of hazzards/brake/dome lights and I HAVE NO IDEA WHY!!!! last night even I did smell the plastic burning when put hazzards for just 3 minutes or less!!!

I thought at first was a somekind of short on brake light pedal switch because once got the smell when brakes pressed, but replaced ( for used one but better than mine ) and still got that, now with hazzards

weird part of this is that I have had the hazzards more time turned on in the past and didn't get the burnt smell.

the workst part is that I had a perfect fuse box  :brickwall:

You may have a small amount of corrosion somewhere in that area, causing some resistance, making it get a bit warm. I would get some QC di-electrical spray to dissolve what is there and keep it lubed. I would get some testers and check continuity in all the wires there.  Have you tried the "by-pass" trick for the voltmeter guage? I know it is a major weak point in theses things.  Especially the AC cars, all that juice going through one little wire and all. Also check for corrosion at the plugs on the foot dimmer switch, pink and yellow wires I think. Good luck!

I'm not on favor of the amm bypass and cvhnage to voltimeter, read here:

Voltimeter is fine but working together with ammeter.

I already have solved that and is woring CHARMING... is just THAT spot.

the acc fuse what is the one that feeds A/C is safe because I have relays on every blower speed.

foot dimmer switch is fine too, I have relays and halogen lamps upgrade since YEEEARS ago. before in fact I thought on becaoem memebr of the board. Thats the MOST common upgrade here.

what definitelly is not is a heavy load tehre because fuse would blow out... Corrosoin ? I can't remember saw any corrosion sign on fuse terminals when I made the change of the standart to the rallye clsuer and its wiring.. but will have to check closer.

any experiences around on your cars before ? please share!
