I have an HP manifold with a crack about 1 1/2 inches long. it is not near any of the flanges and is on the inside (manifold to block) side is this repairable?

I've had a standard cast exhaust manifold repaired by a professional welder, but it wasn't easy.
To stop it from cracking again you have to heat the complete manifold in a furnace, weld it with the same material (cast iron) and very slowly cool it down.
Not something you can do yourself I'm afraid.

terrible one

I've taken cracked manifolds to the machine shop locally and had them fixed. Finding someone who can weld cast is going to be your real issue.
