69 OUR/TEA

Hey gang,
this car was definitely a super find for Phil, the word solid is an understatement....a bodymans dream!!!! I started on the panels a little over a month ago and have been stripping them with chemical stripper as most of them were still orig paint(came off real easy).Beautiful panels with just your typical small dings, ripples, etc, nothing major. As of now I have finished the hood, trunk, front valance, inside and out.Drivers door outside is done, pass door and pass fender very soon for primer, drivers fender stripped and ready to fix a couple small dings then will be primed.I have been using omni epoxy, which is from PPG ,and PPG NCP271 for my top primer. For a primer it lays out super smooth, which means you won't have to kill yourself sanding it,drys with a nice sheen, so helps in seeing the panels, body lines ,etc. All that and it sprays  great out of my Devibiss GTI ,(which we all know is a finish gun),with a 1.5 tip. Here are some progress pics to go along with the thread.........

What body work, so clean it dont need any body work. Yeah, I'd guess your gun should work fine with that thin primer since the Tech sheet recommendes using a 1.4-1.6 tip. Not sure I'd want to try spraying K-38 with that gun though :scratchchin: LEON.

Troy - 69 Our/Tea will work his mojo on the rear valence just like the other panels in preparation for the paintwork.  Fortunately, everything is solid back there.

charger fan 4ev - Car is not from out west.  Believe it or not - car is originally from New Hampshire.  I bought the car in 2002 from the second owner.  He bought the car in 1976 from the original owner.  Car has always been garaged its entire life.

Actually, sprayed a few gallons of K38 with this gun, just like NCP better.NCP thin?,when they speak of 2-4 coats and after sanding having 2.0-6.0 mills, seems like it has enough build to me.Anyway, like you said before everybody has their own way of doing things, products they prefer, what matters is the outcome, and if your jobs are coming out fine, than I geuss you must be doing something right.Take care

Your right there, just do what works for you & what you feel comfortable with, I have no problem with that. LEON.

I thought SE cars came with A/C and with A/C you couldn't get a 4 gear?  It had to be Automatic Tranny..?  :shruggy:

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...
