Internal Ignition Distributor, anyone try?

Has anyone tried these?  They aren't the "stock look," but they look easier....

That does look like the same setup.

Question is, does anyone have any experience running them?

I got my 68 as a rolling chassis.  I have a clump of wires and no idea where or what they are.  I figure, get the new Year One harness; I believe the wires come labled?  (Correct me, if I'm wrong)   But I'm leaning toward this distributor because it looks quite efficient.

My Voltage Regulator question is:   Is the plug the same for the old style regulator as the new electric regulator?  Or does something need to be modified?

And, being a rookie, the voltage regulator controls voltage off the alternator for the whole car.  So, getting an electric VR won't have any effect on which route I choose for my ignition system?

I don't think any replacement harnesses will come with labels, the wires are color coded.

There is no "plug" on a '68 voltage regulator, one wire attaches with a screw and the other is a push-on spade terminal. Most (if not all) replacement regulators will have electronic internals. The '70 and later regulator is electronic with a plug connector but will need some rewiring and a different alternator.

The regulator won't affect the distributor choice.
