I ran into this rare formula s cuda. What caught my eye was the recall wheels,. I dont think I ever saw small bolt pattrn ones. He wants 30K for it and I think thats a fair price. It was in the collectors guide back in 99. I have his numbers if anyones interested.

Very nice looking ride. If it is a factory W23 car then it would be even more interesting. Not that a 383 Formula S car isn't anything to sneeze at, but a Formula S car with W23 wheels is even more appealing.

Is that a vinyl roof I spy on that car? I don't think I've ever seen that on a fastback 'cuda......

Yes vinyl roof which stopped short or the drip rails. Kinda reminded me of a Gm thing. The car is not coded for the recall wheels. The owner said be bought them back in the 90's NOS but didnt say what he payed for them.

I've seen mod-tops on the coupes,  but NEVER a vinyl top on a FASTBACK!  It looks strange on such a beautiful car!   Chrysler certainly offered some weird (and rare) stuff.

If it was coded for the W23 wheels, and I was interested in an A body I might consider it. although I've only seen 2 A bodies that really appealed to me, and they weren't 383 cars.

I was so hot for those cars back in high school, I wanted one as a second choice to a Charger.  Even in 1978, I could not find one--I wanted this or even the Formula S 340.  Of course, no Ebay or internet back then, but in San Diego especially with Camp Pendleton, back then the area was LOADED with Mopars.  However, no SuperBirds, and none of the "2nd series" as I like to call them, Cudas.  I have never seen the 383 version in the flesh.

Interesting that they were rare even back then.

Prices are definately going up for those big-block 'Cuda's .... I recently saw a very nicely restored 1969 M-code 440 'Cuda in the 60 grand range. Seems to me like this one is priced about right for a quick sale. It would be a very fun car.

No offense to you, but your cat frightens me.

Now if it was one of the 69 M code cars with the W23 option, man that would be one slick ride wouldn't it?
