Looks like McQueen went back afterwards & picked 'em all up for trophies. :smilielol:

BTW, if anyone is interested, I swiped that pic from a Mustang car show thread from this Camaro site. :icon_smile_tongue:
Lots-o-pics...

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I thought one time I counted 6...I have the movie I should check that!

Here is one thing I learned reading about the movie. They wired the actual cars for sound, and that is the real engine noises you are hearing.  This practically never happens.  Car sounds are usually added (this is the reason you hear 4 speeds shifting in automatic cars, or cars that sound like Indy cars, etc).

There is one shot from the rear of McQueen's Mustang, and as he shifts there are puffs of smoke from the pipes in exact synchronization.  The Charger SOUNDS like a standard exhaust R/T, and the Mustang sounds correct too.
Do I have the last, operational Popcar Spacemobile?

Thanks for the pic and the link..
Quite some aftermarket the car has. Personally I like them witout all the gee gaws though there were a few I really thought were sweet..
like these two..

last i went on a cruise down south along the coast, i saw a ton of the new stangs including two Rousches and several Saleens.
I like the new Bullets stangs, cause they are cleaned up and look purposeful.

and this is still my all-time fav. Mustang..

wouldn't it be cool if they remade the movie with an 08 Mustang and Charger :shruggy: Oh wait better use the 08 Challenger :popcrn:
1969 Dodge Charger 500 440/727
1970 Challenger convertible 340/727
1970 Plymouth Duster FM3
1974 Dodge Dart /6/904
1983 Plymouth Scamp GT 2.2 Auto
1950 Dodge Pilot house pick up

There was actually some discussion of a remake a couple years ago.

Not a direct reshoot of the same movie.  More like taking the Frank Bullitt character and building a similar-but-fresh movie around him.  Of course they were planning to have an epic SanFran car chase as a major setpiece in it.

I'd vote for Matt Damon in the McQueen role.

Mustangs are chick cars man,......unless it's a '67-'70 fastback.....
I wouldn't mind a white w/ blue striped '67 GT500. Of course, I can think of 1000's of cars I'd take before any 'stang...hehehe
