Hi Guys I am trying to put new exhaust manifold gaskets on my 72 charger 400 we managed one side the passenger side has one bolt we cant get lose its one of the long ones with the tube we think its going to break that means taking the head off the car I dont want to do that . The car has the old tick tick tick driving me crazy. Any ideas or suggestions. Thanks Jim :shruggy:

can you get it there and try to tap on it with a hammer with trying to loosen it with a wrench?

you could also try some heat.

Soak it with PB Blaster repeatedly before trying to loosen it anymore.

Don't forget the anti-seize compound putting it back together.

Don`t use gaskets , the factory never did . If you od use them they always blow out in short order

did a set on a 3rd gen 400 once. had the machine shop square them up when they were off. glad i did. it never had that problem again.

just a coat of High temp RTV
