research on the history of my Charger (+ pics before the resto)

I called the previous owner who kept a diary of all the mechanical stuff he did on the car and the parts he bought.
He had a bunch of pix before they started the cosmetic resto on the Charger. this is how it looked like:

one of my favorite pic:

what the latest real owner had to share:

In short, the story is as follows......The original owner lived in California.  When he died his wife sold it to a neighbor/friend who kept it for several years.  He then sold it to a man in Buford, GA.  This man only had the car a few months before selling it to me.  His story was that he was going through a nasty divorce and he needed the cash.  According to him, his wife in her madness took his files on the car and destroyed them for spite.  Supposedly, included in this file was the fender tag and lots of original paperwork from the original owner and previous owner.  He had the car shipped via train to Doraville (Atlanta) and drove it 30 miles to his home.  The right front tire blew out and the rubber beat up the fender pretty bad from underneath.  Also, it had been dented in the right quarter when he bought it and he himself had fixed and primed it but had not painted it yet.  Then came the divorce and halted any more progress.  I bought it in '96 and sold it '07 to a car collector here in Roswell, GA.  From that point you probably know more than I do.

More to follow....

Cool story! I always think the geneology of our cars is neat. most suprising thingwas the car was from Cobb county GA and they didn't make it a "Dukes" car!
