I just got my new front sway-bar bushings for my 68, and after looking at the mounts they are welded, any ideas on how to get the old ones out with out cutting the mounts? I took it down to a local shop and they wanted to cut the mounts and then re-weld them back together... Something tells me that not the right way to get it done... I will any and all ideas.

Actually, cutting and rewelding is the way to do it.  I have read that you can get these in without doing that but it's supposed to be very difficult.  I would think that a welding process that introduced the least amount of heat would be the best.  Not sure if this would be Mig or Tig.

Getting those original rubber bushings out is one of the very few times on my Charger where I just gave up & destroyed something in order to get it apart.

I followed Jet's instructions and did it this way.  Turned out fine.
