Some how my registration for Carlisle vanished!

:RantExplode: My 68 Charger R/T was supposed to in the survivor tent again this year, or at least I thought it was. As of last week I still had not received my confirmation letter that they send out in the mail. So I emailed the people at Carlisle to find out what was going on. Late Friday night I received a reply back telling me that they had no record of me being registered for the survivor display and to not just show up thinking that I was going to be in. Way back in February I had sent out emails and had called the people who handle the survivor display registration for Carlisle and at that time I was told over the phone that I was in. Since Friday night I have tried to contact the people who run the survivor display through phone calls and emails, but so far they have not answered or replied back to me. It really sucks to find out that this has happened with less that a week to go.  :flame:

That sucks man. Phone call or not, you should have received an email confirmation from Mel a few months ago. I just got my Carlisle letter on Thursday, but I knew it was coming.

And for the record, the fun field ain't that bad.  :P You might even win a plaque.  :yesnod:  Park it out there and enjoy the weekend.

What has bothered me since last February was the only proof that I had that I was in was being told so in a phone conversation 4 months ago. No email reply or anything. It is like I knew something was not right from the beginning. Now if I go I will get hit with the registration and the late fee. :brickwall:

Man that does suck.  More than likely you'll have to pay at the gate.....which still isnt that bad.  See you there :drive:

Did you talk to Mel directly about the Survivor tent, or was it someone else? Just curious. I registered via email over a week ago and still haven't gotten a reply. If I don't get one tonight I'll be calling in to register tomorrow just to make sure. Oh and I put down Dodgecharger.com as the club.

Well finally some good news. I talked to Mel tonight and he said that there was a couple of mix ups on the registration list that was sent to Carlisle. Anyway he told me that I'm on the updated list and there will be a spot for my car.  Just to set the record straight, Mel also told me that he had been out of town for the last several days and that is why he had not replied back to me sooner.

Good deal!  :2thumbs: I remember your car from last year I think? It is red, right? Hubcaps?

Look forward to seeing it. Do you usually leave it there at night? The tent is moved again this year to it's old spot near the grandstands. That's a much better spot.

Yeah, that was my car last year. Wheel covers and white wall tires and stripe delete. One guy last year tried to tell me that the car was a original 383 car and that someone had just put a 440 pie tin on the air cleaner. I said look a little closer. He just could not believe it was a real R/T.

You mean the 440 pie tin doesn't instantly make it an R/T? :scratchchin:
I've been lied to!!!

Seriously though god to hear you got it straightened out & see you there
