Natural medal paint?

Can't find paint for my drum backing plates, and shackles. I think it should be natural medal looking.

The factory didn't paint it, but I don't want it to rust.    Help.

Plasticoat STEEL WHEELS is a real good natural metal paint that dosen't have the silver flake that others do.

Is that what you guys would do? I want to drive the Cuda and still have it look good for years to come.
Some of the magazines I've seen have them bare medal. So logically a clear coat or a bare medal looking paint came to mind.

I would!  I painted most of my front suspension with por-15 metal mask and I love the way it looks!

If my pieces had no pits or scratches on them I would agree, however most everything needed some primer and sanding before they were smooth enough to look good.
