what do i do with the canaster in the drivers quarter panel in the wheel well.
keep it our lose it does it have a value in the car

That's a fuel vapor separator. There should be four lines coming out of your gas tank on the drivers side that tie into the separator. If your going to reuse it check it for pin holes. After sanding the rust off mine I had a dozen holes.

Depends on what level of restoration your bringing your car to. If your car is all matching #'s I'd hang onto it. If you sell the car in the future the new owner may want all the car, not 99.9%.
Also, when I bought my Charger my fuel separator was not hooked up and the lines coming out the side of the tank to the separator were plugged off. I filled my Charger up on the way home one night. The next day when I got home from work the garage was very hot and the fuel expanded, with no place to go the gas seeped out past one of the plugs and I had I nice puddle of gas under the car.

well for the time being my car has a cordoba 400 in it but im hoping to be getting my  original #'s matching motor ant tranny back from the guy i bought it from it a 1971 charger se 500 factory air factory psi trac in the rear and a 4bbl  superbee 383 in front im prolly putting a super bee hood on her but thats really all the modifications im doin to her

is it some thing you need? No

but is something you should keep even if you don't use it as they are fairly hard to find in good shape if you were to restore the car to original
