Hey,  I live in South Mississippi and I just wanted to show a picture of my 68 Dodge Coronet the Day of the storm.   I didnt have a garage to park it in so I parked it as far away from any trees as I could.  But we live in the Pine Belt and we have over 100 pines in our yard.   As you can see in the picture,  If it was around 5 feet forward,  it would have had a tree on it.  I did put a car cover on it with 2 or 3 sandbags on it, but after the storm my cover was way over in my neighbors front yard wrapped around a tree.  HAHA.  120mph winds will do that to a car cover.

Glad you and your cars made it. That tree was awfully close. Whew!

you're braver than I'd have been, that car is a beauty, if it was mine it would have been safe and sound in storage in Canada or somewhere alot farther from Katrina than that!!!

Hey,     Yes we were very lucky compared to alot of people.  We had two trees fall on the house but didnt punch through the roof so we were ok.   I thought about driving it up to Jackson Mississippi to my brothers apartment but the evacuation was UNREAL.  Gas was short and the highway was a grid lock.

cudaken

Glad in made it. Bet the 120 MPH wind felt pretty normal to the Car. ;D

HAHA      Yeah  thats true.      But its not used to 120mph winds swirling in all directions.

Charger_Fan

I'm glad to hear you came out of it as well as you did, it certainly could have been a lot worse.

I guess that's one less tree you'll have to worry about next time. :icon_smile_big:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

ChargerBill

That had to be a major relief, and a little eye opening all at once. Too close for comfort but I'm glad you and the black beauty made it out OK. Any more pics of the car?
