I was at my local Dodge dealer looking to buy an EGR valve for my 97 Avenger and they had 2 prices. One was $141 and the other $102. The parts guy said the cheaper one is mopar's new value priced line that are just as good as the more expensive parts. I find that hard to believe, of course he didn't have the cheaper one and said it isn't available yet. Has anyone heard of these parts?

Yes I used to work at a chrysler dealership.  I know they had value line brakes, wipers, and something else that I can't remember.  Not sure I have heard of a value line egr valve.  I know there is always a retail price and a matrix price, retail is 40% above cost and matrix is usually between 50-60% above cost.  I know we use this at the Honda dealership that I work and did use it at the Chrysler dealership that I was working before.
