I had my steering box redone by Firm Feel, and replaced my pitman arm and now I have zero clearance between my center link and oil pan.  The only other change was I tightened the bushings on my sway bar (very loose). The car is a 70 Coronet R/T and is all stock. What changes could I have made with these installations? Thanks

Is the pitman arm the same bend/angles as the one you took off? :shruggy:

Yes the pitman arms are the same. The center link lower (more clearance) at the idler arm side. Is it possable any internal changes could have been made during the rebuild of my steering box by Firm Feel? The motor mounts look fine. Are there differences in the center links? At a loss.....thanks

Very odd....have you conferred with Firm Feel?  Whats their input?

Probably - I ran into this on a 70 Charger R/T we had in the shop - Centerlink was upside down

My bet is that it's upside down. It's easy to do this and not know it.

My understanding is the centerlink can only go on one way. However mine was on correctly. It turned out to be a bad K member. No evidence of damage per my guru at the shop. He acknowleged what I have heard elsewhere, the K mambers are sometimes welded incorrectly at assembly. I still have only about 1/3" clearance but I'm no longer knocking off my zirk fitting on the torsion bar....I'll take it.
