I don't know what you guys are complaining about.  It only costs me $1 for every mile I drive in my Charger  :D

The government sent out "economic stimulous" checks... I think the best way to stimulate the economy would be to lower gas prices. More people would go on trips, vacations, and spend money shopping while on trips. Even if folks still stayed at home, they would splurge a little more on things with the money they were saving on gas cost. Thats to simple to do I guess.

Hell, it is costing me $25.00 a day to go to work at $4.02 a gallon :image_294343:

Where I have to go to work, It normally would cost me only $30.00 a week when gas was $2 a gallon. And it has now come to the point of, either I buy gas and go to work, or buy food, and have no money for gas :rotz:

I don't get your math. If it cost you $30 a week at $2 a gallon, then it should cost you $60 at $4 a gallon. 60 divided by 5= $12 per day. :shruggy:

The gas increase is frustrating for the old car enthusiast, but IMHO it's not intolerable yet.

A smallblock V8 with port fuel injection and an overdrive/lockup tranny  .  .  . stick that into a 1960s Mopar and it will get better mileage than a typical modern V8 pickup.

Yeah I hear ya.  At 9 mpg cruising around town is becoming a luxury this summer.

Hey Nacho, what you paying for gas these days?   :stirthepot:

six-tee-nine

Tell me about it.

Here in belgium we pay up to $ 6.3 per gallon for gas and $5.55 per gallon for Diesel fuel.

I always hoped to outlive the internal combution engine but these days I think it would be better to come up with alternative things so our governements can start shoving their gas up their **s......
It's a shame   :RantExplode:
Greetings from Belgium, the beer country

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

My Mopar (SRT-4) doesn't do too bad..it gets 30mpg, runs 13's and can haul the kids around. I was wanting to trade it for a Challenger in a year or so, but doubt that will happen now. The trick is to stay out of the boost and it sips gas...ALL HAIL TURBO 4 CYLINDERS!! LOL.. :icon_smile_wink:

On the other hand, I cry every time I look in my garage and see my big block Dart with an empty tank.  :rotz:

I guess now instead of comparing time slips we will all be comparing MPG... :eek2:
