Is there supposed to be a brace between the K-member and the radiator support?

I thought I saw an undercarriage picture recently that showed a metal brace that bolts between the front of the k-member and the lower radiator support.

This is for my 68 charger. Is this something that is supposed to be there? If so - what's it called, and where can I get one ;)

Thanks!
