OK guys,
This is beginning to drive me nuts.
I thought I had this fixed but I'm electrical gremlins once again returned yesterday when I was filling up for gas after cruising around a little.

I'm pretty sure I know where It's from now that I was able to mess with something at the gas station to figure it out.

Its the ingnition wires at the connection that happens at the base of the steering column where it connects into the main harness.
When at the gas station when it started doing the same crap it was doing at the end of last year. I decided to leave the key in and just kind of mess with the connection there and noticed that the brake light (which was off at the time) would turn on if I manipulated the connection there. After which the car started up with no problems.

So I'm amost certain that this is whats causing me grief now. There must be a bad connection in that harness connection there.
I've tried using some of that ignition grease there to make a better electrical connection but I'm still seeing this issue to something must be really loose in the connector.
Now the ignition side part is brand new so I don't think the bad connection is there. I'm pretty sure it's on the main harness side.
So do you think I can repair that side some how?
I'm thinking about just cutting all the wires on that side just prior to the connection, getting new female end connectors and splicing them into the ends of the wires and putting those back into the existing plastic connector part. But I'm wondering if the plastic connector part on the main harness side might be having issues as well. Do you guys know if you can buy just that piece somewhere without having to buy a completely new main dash harness?

let me know if you find... being a 70, with key in column, is the same as mine. Would love to know where to find the terminals on underdash harness... they are some bullet kind, male.

When I need that kind of terminals to my rear harness, I got a plug set from radio shack that BY CASUALITY use same than some PC power sources.

now, about the ignition terminals... dunno if could it be another casuality. Radio Shack is not anymore in Caracas.

That's if you want to keep original terminals setup... at the end you can cut and use diff kind of terminals and use a diff plug. I allways try to keep it original
