Is there any difference in the colours between Dodge and Plymouth other then the name if the code is the same? My -69 GTX is B5
but the cab bright blue I bought from Totally autoinc is darker? There is a B3 which should be lighter blue but can't find any cars on picture with that colour in my books.  :scratchchin:

Absolutely no difference, B5 is B5 whether it's in a Plymouth, Dodge, or Chrysler.

The only differance is the 1971 B5 blue is darker then the 69-70 B5 blue's. LEON.

You are correct sir and it stays with that shade for 72 and 73 and then there is another shade change in 74.

I picked up a little brochure at the Dodge dealer the other day and it shows the color choices for the 2009 Challenger.  One is B5 blue.  Said "late availability" on that color only.  I wonder if it is like one of the original shades or still another shade.  Not much of a picture on the brochure but it looked pretty interesting.  Didn't see any Panther Pinks or other exotic colors.  I guess they will save them for 2010.

Good question.  If you go through the Ditzler guide, there was a new B5 shade every few years it seems.

Are you referring to the exterior versus interior colors on your car? If so, the blue inside (B7) blue interior cars were slightly darker than the B5 exterior cars.....

B5 Blue is already been used on the 2008 Charger SRT8 SuperBee.  At least the modern version of B5 Blue.  All the "High Impact" colors used recently on the Dodge Charger Daytonas and SuperBees seem to be a modern version, not exactly like the originals.  So far the colors used have been:

GoMango (4000 Charger Daytonas in 2006 ) ( I have one of these!)
Top Banana (4000 Charger Daytonas in 2006)
TorRed (2000 Charger Daytonas in 2006)
Sublime (1500 Charger Daytonas in 2007)
Plum Crazy (1400 Charger Daytonas in 2007)
Detinator Yellow (1000 Charger SRT8 Superbees in 2007) (Not sure if that was supposed to be one of the HI colors)
Hemi Orange (1650 Charger Daytonas in 2008)
Hemi Orange (most of the 6400 Challenger SRT8's in 2008)
B5 Blue (1000 Charger SRT8 Superbees in 2008)

Per the color charts I found online, back in the day (1970's) Hemi Orange/TorRed were the same color (Dodge/Plymouth).  Today they are a bit differnt.  I think Chrysler has changed the colors a bit to use them for modern times.

I am attaching pictures of the 2008 Charger Superbee B5 Blue and the 2008 Challenger #43 in Petty Blue.  No pictures of the 2009 Challenger in B5 blue are available to my knowledge.
