Help with how to identify stock mopar 15" steel wheels????

I have read before about H wheels for HP, different widths for different applications, and date codes, etc.  Is there a place I can get info. on this?  Or can anyone help me out?  I am just trying to learn more.  Thanks.

I don't know a whole lot about steel wheels but can tell you that there were different widths--two that I know about are 6-1/2 inch and 7-inch wide.  There were 14 inch steels and 15 inch steels.  There is a cop car steel that has little holes all the way around it.  I don't have a picture of one of those.  The standard steels come in different widths.  Don't know what they all are but I think the biggest was 7 inch.  The 69 New Yorker I had was fitted with 6-1/2 X 15 inch steels.  Most of the 70's Mopars had 7 inch wide wheels.  The wheel size is stamped on the inside of the wheel.  You have to take the tire off to find the marking.  After you have looked at several, you can tell the 7 inch by looking at the outside of the wheel.  There was a difference between the 69 wheels and starting somewhere in 73 or 74.  I will post two pictures that show the earlier style and the later style.  I havn't found any of the earlier style myself except for the ones on the New Yorker.  Even the later style is getting hard to find since they changed over to a different type around 80 or so and everythinig is getting crushed and sent to China.  Be careful about the junkyard wheels.  I bought 9 for $10 each and 3 were bent.  And it takes a lot of time to clean a set up unless you take them to some place and have them blasted.   I also posted a picture of a steel wheel mounted on a 69 Charger with Hemi which I think is the original type.

Hmmm.  Coker doens't make these kinds of wheels.  I wonder who they sourced them from?  Anybody got any ideas?  I was thinking that if you wanted to run steels that you might want to run 15X7 on the front and 15X8 on the rear. 

Does anybody know what the standard offset was on a Chrysler 15X7 steel wheel?  And does anybody know what offset you would need to run a 15X8 wheel------------assuming rear end is stock.

Finally---------what would be the best tire size to run on rims like this?

I have 15x8 magnums with I think 4.5 inch B.S. @ a 275/60/15 tire.  Fits good.

OK.  I found this website that I had bookmarked sometime in the past.  May be of some interest to some of you.  They sell Mopar steel wheels and have pictures of the many different kinds.
