i'm looking into the wilwood disc brake kits for my 68 charger got some questions. is there any performance difference between the 10.75'' and 12.90'' rotors  or is it just for looks? do i need to buy new spindles or does any of there kits bolt on if i got to buy  spindles what else should i be prepared to buy? i heard of people warping there rotors is this because they got the drag race rotors instead of the street rotors? anyone have a wilwood brake kit i'd like to hear which kit you got i'm trying to decide which kit to get the one with the 10.75'' rotors or go bigger  yet along with the 6 piston calipers thanks for any help

terrible one

If you're going to use it on the street, I wouldn't worry about the Wilwood setup because of the price and the fact that they are mostly geared toward racing. Of course, the bigger rotor will offer better stopping power every time. . .

Unless you are going to be racing, I would look at the disc-o-tech article.  You can google to it.  It appeared in one of the mopar mags.  Uses all mopar production parts.  You have to round up the parts yourself.  If you are just looking for disc brakes and want to keep the costs down, then forget using the 73-76 A-body spindles and look for the 3/4 inch taller spindles you will find on other mopars.  You will be able to find info out about these since there is a big controversy on this.  The caliper adapters for the 10.87 inch setup (small rotor) are easy to find.  Use the sliders.  Get rebuilt slider calipers off a 79 cordoba.  Use the ones with the fiber piston.  The rotors are available from most parts places like Oreillys.  The correct power booster by Bendix is virtually impossible to find.  So if you want power brakes, you will have to use the midland ross booster----easy to get.  Don't forget the necessary bellcrank between the actuator rod on the booster and the brake pedal.  It is somewhat hard to find but can be found at junkyards if you look enough.  The master is available from Napa.  The correct brake combination, proportioning, and hold off valves are all now available from Inline tube.  Another reason to use the sliders is that good pads are available for them from Bendix.  You can't get really good pads for the pin calipers anymore.  Some don't use the booster.  If you choose this route, make sure you carefully select the master with correct diameter piston.  It's a trade off between piston travel and pedal effort.  All the answers to this stuff is contained on the forum if you do enough searches for the data.  If you don't want to put out the effort to determine the answers to these things, then your alternative would be to go to one of the brake houses and buy a kit.
