Do Hedman Elite headers fit very well on 68-70 B-bodies?

I am planning on getting some Hedman Elite ceramic coat headers for my 70 Charger that I am building with a 512 stroker. I am looking for a header that you can get to the spark plugs fairly easy and not too difficult to install.

Anybody run a set of these?

i dont believe the headman elites are ceramic coated, i believe they are aluminum coated the same as exhaust pipe.  they are also thicker gauge than  standard headmans but i believe they are shaped the same.     what heads will you be using?    arent they only 1.75 inch tubes?  wouldnt a 512 like a little bigger tube?.

Yep I think you are correct as the Summitt book says they are "thermal coated".

I will be using the Stealth heads. I have not heard anything good about the fit of Hooker Super Comps although the diameter would definitely fit the buildup better.

I dont have the bucks right now for TTI's so they are out of the question.

The Headmans are waaay too small for that 512 like Runner said.  :yesnod:

Look at the d452 Thorley headers which have a 2in primary tube diameter and fit well. They are much cheaper than the TTI's  ;)

I will definitely check out those Doug Thorleys, as the 2 in primary sounds pretty good!  :2thumbs:

I have them on the 440 in the '69. They actually fit pretty good. Although I don't have power steering or power brakes. I put an x-pipe exhaust to them. But I would have to agree that if you are building a 512, the 1 3/4 are gonna be a bit restrictive.

Ron,

Do you have a link to those headers?  I tried to find them in summit but all I could find were Thorley's with 1 3/4 same as hedman's.

I just put a set on my 74 360  they fit nice     :yesnod:   the only problem i had was i had to get a different piece built for my exaust so it fit    just watch to "some  adjustment  :RantExplode: needed" if you buy new exaust kit  it was only 40 but i didn't catch the note  :slap:  so was unhappy when it didn't work on the one side

I think jegs has them as well

my73charger

Wow those look nice. I wonder if they would fit my 73 with the 440 and power steering?
