stupid tire question

I worked at Canadian Tire for awhile and either Im totally crazy or stupid but, the rear tires on my car are P225/60SR14... what is the "S" for?

I haven't seen a tire yet with an "S"....

 well from what i know ..that is the old way of telling the speed rating of a tire   SR = 113mph  ..all the tires i have seen in the last 6-7 years have  the speed rating at the end  now  ... example  P225/60/R14S

Thats good to know! I was looking for P225/60SR14 tires on google and only 6 hits came up! For a second I thought Goodrich tires were the only makers of my tires! Even then though it seems they arent easy to find, is there a better tire size I should be running on my Aspen for rears?
