I have a 68 Charger with drum brakes all around. Now,the other day i was driving it and the brakes gave way.I looked for any fluid leaks and checked the fluid,it looked good....So today i have changed the master cylender.it isnt power brakes. My problem still is the same.I put the new Master Cylender on and still have no brakes.I benched the Master Cylender and bled the brakes out.Is there something that i need to do?Is there a certain way to bleed these?Help Me Out.I at a loss :'( ??? :rotz: :icon_smile_sad: :icon_smile_question: :scope: :shruggy: :bawling: :ahum: :brickwall: :RantExplode: :smilie_help: :cussing:

have you checked the wheel cylinders for leaks  ??
often they will leak under the outer boot so you may not see the leak

I wonder if the new master cylinder is any good? If you pump the brakes up can you feel the pedal slowly going down when you hold it?

When bleeding them start from the wheel farthest away from the master cylinder.

i have a 68 charger with power drum brakes.replaced everything front and rear with new parts.got a new master cylinder, bench bleed it and if you held your foot on the pedal it would slowly fad to the floor.must have bleed it and the whole system 5 times, didn't help.took it back and it turned out they gave me a master cyl for manuel breaks.gave me one for power breaks, worked fine.might be something to look at.tom
