Hey guys...
OK, here's a new one..... When I have my car idling, with the lights on, the headlamps shine just fine.. But, for some reason, when I rev the engine, the lights dim !!!! Shouldn't it be the other way around, the get brighter with higher rpm?

I have a new alternator, voltage regular and dimmer switch in the car...
Car is Dana, my '69 Charger 500......

The voltage at the batter while running is approximately 13.25v, so the system s charging....

Thanks..

I never assume car is getting charge with voltage test, althought is what the logical says... that is just it SEEMS is charging.

I know is not the right procedure, but I definitelly end unplgging batt for final test. Our cars supports that. Moder cars is a diff story

I got 16 volts at idle and discharge reading on ammeter
Then reving up got 24 V and charge reading on amm, but unplugged batt on that moment and engine did stall...

guess what ? was discharging, short on alt rotor.
