Ya I've got the 5 spokes also. Don't jam the knob from reverse to forward to hard though. Car does a nice wheel spin but if you get carried away you can break the knob off the controller. I broke the 1st one I had after about 5 minutes of use.

Mine has the 5 spokes too, they look like polished torque thrusts and they do look much better.
