Actually, I think red on '70 Chevelles is much more popular than on Camaros.

'69: Hillbilly Orange 
'70: Purple

I'll take black over hillbilly orange any day. Actually I think the only '68s that ended up black started out green, so that probably only accounts for 70% of them.

They are the quintessential automotive equivalent to Johnny Cash.

Like he did with music, the '68 Charger did with the auto industry - took it by storm and left a finger print that will never be erased.
