A friend of mine just got a 71 dart swinger... slant 6.  Any modifications necessary to drop a 318 in there?
thanks!

The K-member will have to be changed (or Shumacher conversion mounts) but a used kmember will probably be cheaper. Trans will have to be changed also. More than likely a /6 dart will have a 7 1/4 rear, it will not hold up to a 318 a couple of burnouts and it will be toast. And it probably has 9 inch front drum brakes, you'd wanna change them too for safety sake. Its alot of stuff, money wise you'd be better off finding a cheep v-8 4-door dart (74 up) and you would have everything you needed.

Looks like Schumacher has the mounting kit to retain the /six k member for $160.
